The dance department at Macdonald High School explores a variety of different styles through choreography and expression. From ballet technique and contemporary, to jazz and hip-hop, we do a bit of everything throughout each grade level. We welcome dancers of all levels to push themselves in a safe and encouraging environment.

Whether you’re someone who has never danced before and just loves to move, or you want to compete and pursue a career in dance, the department has something to offer every student. Every dance class also has the opportunity to perform in the end-of-year recital in May.

Competitive team auditions are at the beginning of September. This year, we will be competing at “Candance” in March. Follow the department on Instagram to stay up to date on all things dance (@macdonalddance).
